End Bloating For Good: These Swaps Can Help!

Bloating is a very common condition that most people experience at some point. When you’re bloated, your stomach feels tight, full, and sometimes painful.

Often, we feel bloated after a large meal, and the discomfort is only short-term. Other times, bloating is related to an underlying health condition, and can cause severe symptoms that negatively affect quality of life.

Keep reading to find out more about bloating, its common causes, and how you can prevent it.

What Is Bloating?

Bloating refers to an excess of gas in the gut. Gasses such as oxygen, CO2, methane, and nitrogen enter the gut as you swallow air, and through the fermentation of foods in your large intestine.

A number of factors can cause increased gas in the gut.

  • Constipation. This is one of the most common causes of bloating. The longer the stool sits in the colon, the more time it has to ferment, resulting in more gas.
  • Food intolerances. Certain foods, such as lactose or gluten intolerance can cause gas and bloating.
  • Volume of food. Eating too much or eating too quickly can also cause uncomfortable gas and bloating.
  • Foods high in fat. Fatty foods are often high in sodium resulting in gas and bloating.
  • Poor gut health. Imbalances of the gut microbiome, aka the ecosystem of bacteria that lives in your gut.
  • Physical and mental factors. Stress, anxiety, weight gain, and changes during the menstrual cycle can also alter gut health and cause gas and bloating.

In some cases, bloating is caused by severe medical issues like infection, bowel obstruction, liver disease, or cancer. If you are experiencing chronic and painful bloating, it is important to identify the underlying cause with a medical expert.

How Can You Prevent Bloating?

1 – Avoid foods that cause bloating

Bloating treatment typically begins with changing your diet. Limiting foods that trigger bloating is essential. Certain foods contain high amounts of non- or poorly digestible compounds that lead to increased gas. These foods include:

  • Beans and lentils. Swap these for grains, meats, or quinoa. If you are going to eat beans, try soaking them or choosing easier-to-digest varieties such as pinto or black beans.
  • Carbonated drinks.  Instead, choose flat water or herbal tea to avoid gas.
  • Wheat. This can be tricky to avoid, but you can incorporate several gluten-free alternatives into your diet, such as pure oats, quinoa, buckwheat, almond flour, and coconut flour.
  • Broccoli and cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower and brussel sprouts. While nutritious, these can trigger bloating for some. Instead, consume more spinach, sweet potato, and water-based vegetables like cucumber.
  • Onions and garlic. To avoid excess gas, add flavor to your food with fresh herbs, or the green parts of scallions and chives.
  • Dairy. If your bloating is caused by lactose intolerance, swap for lactose-free products such as coconut, almond, or cashew milk.
  • Sugar alcohols. Xylitol, sorbitol, and mannitol are all heavily associated with excess gas. Swap for sweeteners that are easier to digest, such as stevia, monk fruit, or honey.
  • Avoid salty foods too often. High sodium intake has also been found to lead to water retention and the gut and bloated sensations.
  • Reduce consumption of fatty foods. High amounts of fat in the intestine also retain gas, leading to bloating. This is why you may feel bloated and uncomfortable after a fatty meal. These include fried foods, fast food, chips, chocolate, and pastries.

2 – Anti-bloating lifestyle changes

Lifestyle changes to prevent bloating also include eating foods that support regular bowels and prevent constipation. To reduce constipation, increase fiber consumption. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds are all high in fiber and will help to keep things moving.

As well, be sure to drink adequate fluids. This looks like about 2 liters of water a day.

It should be noted that adding fiber to your diet too quickly may worsen constipation at first, so add it gradually.

It’s also important to exercise regularly. Whether it’s walking, cycling, swimming, or jogging, try spending at least 30 minutes a day moving to maintain healthy bowels.

3 – Support your gut microbiome

Probiotics are live microorganisms that provide health benefits and can help promote healthy levels of bacteria in the gut. Although more studies are needed, some research suggests probiotic consumption can reduce bloating.

You can take probiotics in pill form, or consume probiotic-rich foods such as yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, and miso. If you try supplementing with probiotics, stick with a strain for at least 4 weeks to discern whether it has a beneficial effect on you.

It should also be noted that probiotics are not always recommended for bloating, like in cases of small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) for example. Working together with a qualified healthcare practitioner is recommended to avoid making matters worse – we can help!

4 – Eat smaller portions more mindfully

Eating large volumes of food in a short amount of time is almost sure to leave you feeling bloated. Your stomach becomes stretched, leading to the pooling of gasses and solids inside the gut. Eating too quickly also can cause you to swallow too much air and is a possible cause of bloating. Furthermore, if the foods contain poorly digested carbs, your body will produce more gas.

Instead, focus on eating mindfully and enjoying every mouthful. Paying attention to our hunger and fullness cues is the first step in mindful eating. Slow down, place your fork down in between bites and chew thoroughly. Avoid eating whilst distracted such as scrolling on your phone or watching TV to prevent overeating.

5 – Keep a food journal

As you can see, a wide variety of foods can influence bloating. Stop guessing and start journaling! Keeping a detailed food journal can help you determine which foods are triggers for you. After a few weeks of logging what you eat and drink, you may be able to pinpoint what exactly causes uncomfortable bloating.

Be sure to also note things like any stressors (work load, family troubles, etc.) you’re experiencing in the journal since stress can be a major contributor.

6 – Get tested for GI issues

If bloating is more than a rare occurrence for you, getting proper GI testing is necessary. As mentioned earlier, these natural treatments and lifestyle changes may not suit everyone. A common symptom of bloating could be a larger issue in your intestines such as leaky gut, SIBO, IBS, IBD, and parasites.

Functional stool testing can determine what is really going on and can help to formulate a proper treatment plan. Your natural health practitioner can then help address underlying causes and steer you in the right direction.

There are many steps you can take to reduce the discomfort of bloating. Taking a mindful approach to diet and lifestyle is a great first step. But if your bloating persists for over a week and is consistently painful, talk with us – a qualified practitioner will help get you the proper testing necessary to further identify the root cause and get you bloat free for good!

Eczema: What You Need To Know

If you suffer from eczema, you probably know how uncomfortable and inconvenient the condition is.

Eczema is a common skin condition characterized by itchy, dry, and irritated skin. It typically starts during infancy or childhood but can persist into adulthood and it affects people of all ethnicities and ages. Complications of eczema may include:

  • Sleep troubles. Persistently itchy skin can cause difficulty getting a good night’s rest.
  • Skin infections. Frequent scratching of affected areas can leave the skin open to bacteria.
  • Thick scaly skin. Scratching causes skin to harden and thicken.
  • Asthma and hay fever. Eczema often leads to these upper respiratory conditions, especially in children younger than 12.

Eczema can appear anywhere but is normally seen on the arms, inner elbows, cheeks, and scalp.

Thankfully, the symptoms of eczema can be managed through simple home remedies and lifestyle changes.

What Causes Eczema?

The precise cause of eczema isn’t entirely known, however, research shows a few potential causes such as an overactive immune system, the inability to produce enough of a protein called filaggrin, which helps keep the skin moisturized and healthy, as well as poor gut health.

The gut-skin axis

When there is an imbalance in the gut or skin microbiome, it is known as dysbiosis. This can happen if there are too many bad species of bacteria in the gut, not enough good species or not enough diversity of species of bacteria in the system. In people with atopic dermatitis, which is a type of eczema, dysbiosis may play a role in the development of the disease.

Scientists believe that dysbiosis in the gut and on the skin may cause this. It may be that the immune system is detecting harmful levels of these bad microbes on the skin and so reacts to them. This may be why dysbiosis and eczema then create a cycle of inflammation that perpetuates symptoms.

Those who suffer with intestinal permeability, or leaky gut, may also experience eczema since they lack the beneficial species of bacteria that produce byproducts that help the intestinal barrier work more effectively.

External irritants

When the skin is exposed to an external or internal irritant, the immune system overreacts. These common eczema triggers include:

  • Chemicals or preservatives found in soaps or detergents
  • Scented products
  • Cigarette smoke
  • Allergies to pollen, dust, mold or mites
  • Rough and scratchy material such as wool
  • Synthetic fabrics
  • Temperature changes
  • Stress
  • Food allergies

Natural Treatments For Eczema

During an eczema flare up, there are numerous natural remedies that can provide relief. Here are a few we recommend:

Coconut oil

Coconut oil contains fatty acids that help add moisture to the skin. It also is known to protect the skin by combating inflammation and strengthening the skin barrier. Studies have found the use of coconut oil for eight weeks improves eczema symptoms.

Using coconut oil is simple. Just apply -pressed or virgin coconut oil to the skin after bathing, once or twice a day.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is another topical treatment that can be beneficial for soothing eczema symptoms. Studies have found it to be antibacterial, antimicrobial, immune-boosting, and wound-healing. These properties will help promote healing on eczema skin.

You should aim to find an aloe vera product with few ingredients — avoid preservatives, alcohol, fragrance and dyes which may further irritate the skin.

Colloidal oatmeal

Also known as avena sativa, it is made from oats that have been ground and boiled and is commonly used to treat irritated skin. Studies have found colloidal oatmeal to be highly efficacious at healing and soothing skin dryness, scaling, and itching.

Dietary changes and gut health assessment

Certain foods can cause inflammation in the body, which may in turn trigger an eczema flare-up. Making a few dietary changes can help prevent the occurrence of these flares.

Add anti-inflammatory foods into your diet, such as: fish, leafy greens, colorful fruits, turmeric and cinnamon.

Avoid inflammatory foods like dairy, eggs, soy, and wheat can be common triggers for eczema prone skin.

It is also highly recommended to get a thorough gut health assessment from a qualified practitioner – as mentioned earlier poor gut health is likely to be a trigger for eczema.

Vitamins and supplements

These can be useful for lowering inflammation and boosting the immune system. Common vitamins and supplements to manage eczema include:

  • Vitamin D, an immune strengthening vitamin.
  • Fish oil
  • Zinc
  • Selenium
  • Prebiotics and probiotics
  • Melatonin to ensure good sleep
  • Turmeric
  • Primrose oil

Reduce stress

Stress is another well-known trigger for eczema symptoms to flare up. Stress produces inflammation in the body, and inflammation underlies the condition. Try reducing stress through one or more of:

  • Deep breathing exercises
  • Yoga
  • Meditation
  • Listen to relaxing music
  • Ensure you get a good night’s sleep

Use gentle soaps and detergents

Laundry detergents, body washes, and soaps often contain harsh detergents and lathering agents that can dry out the skin of people with eczema among other harmful, hormone disrupting ingredients.

Be sure to use natural, gentle, no-lather cleansers that have no fragrance. Many people who suffer from eczema find that this helps their symptoms.

Eczema is a common skin condition that can vary in severity. While there is not currently a cure, you can treat and prevent eczema flares using natural home remedies and simple lifestyle changes. Avoiding irritants, minimizing stress and addressing the root cause of your symptoms will help keep your eczema at bay and allow you to live comfortably in your own skin.

Play

A large number of Americans experience fatigue and brain fog on a daily basis, and these issues can take a toll on your health and mind over time. There are many potential reasons for the prevalence of fatigue, several of which we will discuss in today’s show, Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired?. We’ll also give you some guidance on how to support healthy energy levels and detoxification processes with supplements and lifestyle changes.

Products Mentioned in Today’s Show

Ageless Cell Revive – Phospholipids or phosphatides are an integral part of biological membranes, and they tend to decrease as we age. They are critical for cell and mitochondrial membrane shape, repair, and growth. Proper cell membrane function facilitates healthy cell signaling, which is important for energy production, immune function and regulating inflammatory cascades.

L-Carnitine – L-carnitine is an amino acid essential for the transport of fatty acids into the cell mitochondria. Research has shown that L-carnitine stimulates the use of fat for fuel and boosts metabolism, which plays a key role in weight management. L-carnitine has also been found to support cardiovascular health and to increase aerobic capacity during exercise.

Enviro- Detox – A broad-spectrum binding formula containing natural ingredients from the purest sources to support enhanced clearance of heavy metals, unwanted organisms and organic compounds from the GI tract.

Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired?

00:00:01 – 00:05:01

Welcome to the green wisdom health podcast, with doctor Steven and Janet Lewis, where you will learn about natural solutions to common ailments. And now, here are your hosts doctor Stephen and Janet Lewis. Hello and welcome to this week’s edition of the green wisdom health show. I’m Janet Lewis. And I’m doctor Lewis. And we thought we would come to you today with a couple of exciting things. One is we have some false savings coming up for you, so stay tuned for this. But the name of this show is called are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? We decided to do a podcast doctor Lewis has been very busy writing some books for you guys on how to eat correctly nutrient based eating. He’s also doing some webinar. So I’ve had him very busy, so I apologize for the lack of podcasts coming on. But we cause people are getting another round of being sick again and for some people it’s the third or fourth time. We thought we should come on the air and talk to you a little bit about what may be causing that, some things you could take to help you beside the common things like vitamin D and that sort of thing. And why it’s so important that we see about going into fall with health. So doctor Lewis would you like to talk to the audience? I think they might have missed you. Yeah, well, first of all, I’d like to say thank you, Melinda from Nederland, Texas from being so compliant and getting such great results. It’s funny, fact of life, but secret that you get out of it, what you put into it. So sweet little lady done in southeast Texas. And thank you, Eric, for sending her and dozens of others. Here’s the deal. I would love for y’all to do me a favor and write me Doc at green wisdom health dot com. Is that right? It is because he’s actually had a little problem with Facebook and his shooting straight page. So he’s not getting any direct messages on that now. He’s still checking it, but Facebook has their own rules and they decided to make one. So we still have the page. He just doesn’t see the post right away, so I don’t think he’s ignoring you. He will be on there to answer. Yeah, Doc, green wisdom, health dot com. Email me and I’d like to know your opinion. Do you like the podcast? Should we do more should we do less? Because I have been busy. And we can do more if we need to, but we want to know what it takes to reach you. So I’m going to ramble normally I’m just slow, slow, slow, about everything, but we have a short show in saying a long way to go in a short time to get there. We’re going to talk about, are you sick and tired of being sick and tired and there’s so many different reasons. And I want to talk just a little bit about the relationship between cortisol and DHEA and those of you that patients will you remember me saying well, DHEA is responsible for at least a 150 different processes in the body to heal your brain. Heal your body and brain. And it’s the youth hormone. You get less as you get older, not because you’re older, but because you have extra decades of toxins which slow that down. And there’s a relationship between that and cortisol, which are two of the things you don’t normally see on lab that Janet and I routinely do. Suboptimal levels of DHEA have, they’ve been demonstrating patients with numerous chronic disease states, which includes inflammatory diseases, which is IBD or rheumatoid mode disorders who in the heck has not been stressed. These last two, three years. And chronic pain syndromes, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and DHEA has been shown to reverse the classic stress induced physiological responses. It varies with age, and I have mine about two to three times higher than what my age says in the reference intervals. And it, I mean, I feel about 30 years younger than what I am, and that’s part of it. Cortisol should be at a very optimal level, not too low, not too high. Which cortisol affects so many things, heart, your vasculature, your blood pressure, water excretion, electrolyte balance, and the thing about that is you can be super stressed and it goes high, but then sooner or later those little adrenal glands, which put out cortisol and DHEA. They blow, they get fatigued, and then it’s worse if it’s lower than if it’s high. It’s harder to deal with. Which turns into chronic fatigue syndrome. And some of the symptoms for that are fatigued that doesn’t go away even after getting good sleep.

00:05:02 – 00:10:07

That you can’t fall asleep or stay asleep, and we hear that a lot. Muscle and joint pain. And that’s one of the things doctor Lewis is actually working on as a webinar about how pain correlates to different problems besides just showing it to you on lab. I think it’s pretty cool we’re going to do it in a little bit different way, you know, because he’s a chiropractor and because of that, he is able to actually put together the pain elements of some of the dysfunction going on internally like chronic fatigue. How musculoskeletal can be adversely affected if your thyroid hormone draw off or if this is off if that’s off. And there’s a huge, huge correlation. It’s just indisputable. Yeah, besides the muscle and joint pain, people get frequent headaches. They’re frequently getting sick, like we’re seeing now having sore throat, cold, or flu like symptoms, they’re gaining weight. Melinda said or headaches. Which she had every day of her life. Now she only has one once in a while. So God, I hope you’re listening down there and need her land, Texas. Digestive problems like constipation or cramps, mental fogginess and trouble concentrating or remembering things clearly. And you talk about cortisol being right or wrong, we have a lady that called in the other day. I think it’s the coolest story ever. She’s walking the Appalachian trail. She’s on our supplements. Thank you, Bridget. She’s been walking since March from Maine to Georgia or Georgia to Maine. I didn’t ask her which direction she’s going, but she says she’s almost at the end. But she reached a high point. One of the mountains and decided to call me and place her order. So a product would get to her on time. So I thought, super cool. It works. People that have good results are the ones that don’t make up excuses. They just do it. As far as the ratio of cortisol and DHEA, that can affect, as I said, musculoskeletal health, osteoporosis, osteopenia, renal calculi, which basically means calcium oxalate stones, which we’ve talked about on many of the patients, muscle wasting I hear that more and more for some reason the last two years or two and a half years we’ve seen more muscle wasting more livers going to heck in a bucket more kidneys going crazy for some strange reason. And if you put in the nutrition to allow your body to begin to work, how it knows it’s already should be working your body has an innate intelligence. But our food does not have the proper amount of supplements are nutrients in it. We can ligament and cartilaginous tissues, think bulging disc. Aggressive. Neural health, which, you know, that’s depression anxiety that we talked about. And Janet can tell you all about that. That’s why this is successful business because she’s a little OCD and I mean, not crazy. I’m sorry. Sorry. You’re not crazy. Sorry, honey. Okay. Insomnia as she talked about the mood swings. I talked about, but a lot of the different pain syndromes. Easy bruising and vascular fragility. Yeah, I’m hearing that more and more people say I’m raising like an old man I’m coming in and I’m not on COVID and so yeah, that’s part of it. What’s doing that? Well, the wrong Reich of cortisol to DHEA. Oh, interesting. And also causes yeast overgrowth as well as well as frequent infections. And hormonal deficiencies that are sometimes overlooked in your regular blood test. Thyroid problems, and maybe that’s a good time to mention now, I know that times are tough or a lot of people out there monetarily. And a lot of things are going up. What we have decided to do is go backwards with that and have it go down. So what we are offering for the next couple of about a month, it ends October 17th. We are offering you 20% off of your lab work. So if you’ve never done lab work, that’s a huge deal. It’s already super cheap anyway. Right, but that includes doctor Lewis. You still get everything. We’re not taking anything off. We’re actually giving you all the lab. We’re giving you a consultation with doctor Lewis functional medicine report and supplement recommendations. And for those of you that hadn’t done it in a year or two, Janet’s well, we’re adding more. We have more than we did a couple of years ago. And she added the TPO and thyroid anti globulin antibodies for the women and the D dimer to the men and the price didn’t go up. Now she’s taking 20% off, which means I probably won’t get a Christmas present. And so I added a thyroid panel. So if there’s a lot of people that just want to see what their thyroid’s doing, doctor Lewis, don’t talk to him about it because he’ll tell you, I like to see more because he really does and many times it’s not your thyroid.

00:10:07 – 00:15:03

But if you think it is your thyroid or you know it has been in the past, there is now a thyroid panel, that one’s also 20% off through October the 17th. You just need to go on our website, green wisdom health dot com. There will be a promo code in the box and you need to type in the words fall savings and it’s a capital F ALL space savings with the capital SAV. And that will take 20% off instantly. You’ll be able to see the price and then just finish the checkout process. And then I will put your lab order in your little portal that we’ve come up with. So pretty good deal, we’ve never been able to do that since we’ve partnered with a different lab company. We’re able to offer this periodically. So we thought it was a great time now because people really need to know their numbers and not just guess or just stay on the same things they’ve been on forever. I didn’t think it was a lab coming out about Janet was crazy, good negotiator. I’ve heard crazy twice this morning. This is beginning to offend me. Is this one of the symptoms? Yeah, well, something to do with bad excrement, something like that. Andrew can dysfunction, heavy metal toxicity, which we talked about before. It helps increase liver detoxification. I’m talking back on cortisol. DHEA. Hypothyroidism is just mentioned. It has to do with T four to T three conversion premenstrual syndrome, man, if you’re smart, you’ll never mention that infertility. I can not tell you how many babies across America that women could not get pregnant and then boom all of a sudden they get their body healthy through us and they start having babies, but nobody’s named one Stephen yet. Severe menopause, insulin resistance. And I’m really big on insulin resistant because people say, I can’t lose weight, and it’s like, well, it takes a long time to reverse it, speeding freight train of disease and stop it and reverse it, going toward health. And insulin resistance is one of the big deals. Yeah, and then there’s some natural things that you can do because I know you take maybe you take supplements and you still feel this way. So has it got something to do with what you’re eating or drinking. So you need to change your diet to solve adrenal fatigue by avoiding caffeine. Oh, God. You go. Preaching to getting personal, honey. Someone’s got a cup of coffee going over here. And she made it for me. Because I know he needs it. So he talks a little faster during the podcast. Have you noticed he goes a little slower, so if I give him caffeine to speeding, his voice picks up. Avoid excess sugar in carbohydrates. Oh, Jesus. That’s most of us. Hydrogenated oils. That’s the big thing in that helps create insulin resistance. And if you eat out cannibalism, if it’s processed food, you’re taking them and people say, what do I do about it? And I said, besides cutting it way back, eat more and more and more of the good fish oil, all fish almost, not the same. Good. Processed and packaged foods. Not good. It may be driving through the fast food lane. And we did hair funny story about that yesterday. You get caught at hardee’s. You might be eating the wrong thing. That’d be embarrassed. If the FBI stole my phone and I was in the party’s line, it’s like, holy cow. Yeah, it more embarrassing that you were in the hardys line than the phone got stolen. Yeah, from this. Healthy eat healthy fats and do proteins and plenty of fresh vegetables. And that is fish oil, but that’s also a coconut oil walnut oil. Avocado oil stay the heck away from corn vegetable, canola is poison, peanuts, questionable, sunflower is better. Interesting little tidbit. I always learn something new from doctor Lewis because he’s like some sort of walking and cyclopedia. I had a lady yesterday asked me about prebiotics and probiotics. And we don’t carry prebiotics. We carry probiotics. And she want to know, well, why don’t we carry them? And I thought, well, I don’t know. I’ll ask him why we don’t carry him. So he said, why would we do that? He said, most pre boards come from your vegetables. There’s fiber. It’s fiber. And I thought, oh, cool. And I said, so you can just literally vegetables at your prebiotics. There’s a lot of people out there that get caught up in the smoke mirrors and sizzle and no steak. And because there’s people, everybody’s trying to sell us all something.

00:15:03 – 00:20:01

So if you’re eating your vegetable in this place, well, I don’t eat beets and that’s what you come back with. Because why you’re not in bikini stage every year. I need to get skinny for my bikini and she’s sweet light yellow, but that was the last thing she pushed. She goes to vegetables. Yeah, she goes, I just don’t eat them, and I’m thinking. Well, I can’t do that for you, but isn’t it interesting that you can eat a vegetable and that’s a prebiotic and then you take your probiotics. So little tidbit learned? The fibers, you know, kind of the staging area. And people say, well, you’ve got to have annual in it. It’s like, yeah, well, I’ve seen it. And it’s not a bad thing. But I’ve seen people take the probiotics with inulin and then they blow up when they take it and wonder why they’re bloated and have massive amounts of gas. It’s because they can’t data or overgrowth of yeast is going ballistic on that stuff. So it needs to be done in stages. It needs to be done wisely. Yeah, you talk about a yeast and overgrowth, that sort of thing. I had a lady that called, she was a chef. And a restaurant that we must have eaten at ten years ago. I do not remember really eating there. We have memory pills. That was ten years ago. She called me the other day, and she said, oh my gosh, you’re Janet Lewis. I said, I am. And she said, I finally found your name ten years later on a piece of paper where you had given me olive leaf as a product because I had a type two tick bite lime type two limes. I think it was, and I said, how did you get that? She said, from a mosquito, she said she said there was actually two or three people there in that little town that got them. Two of them died. She did not die, and she’s crediting us with saving her life over all of life. And all of leif is a huge antibiotic. And up a limes came from TX. I don’t know. Janet, thanks so much. I don’t know, but she’s, she said that she survived because of it, and she offered to pay me for those products that I gave her ten years ago to get better. And I said, you know what? Calling me ten years later, I don’t even think you could give me enough money to compensate that. Just this just call it good and be glide your back. We don’t even remember it. So but we get a free meal out of it. She’s building another restaurant and going back to work. And the people that come back and say something positive later. Thank you, thank you. It keeps us encouraged because we need that too. Yes. So there’s other causes of being sick and tired of being sick and tired. Everybody’s going to love this one. I said and Terry lifestyle. Having a desk job, having lack of movement. Having back problems, chronic pain, sitting all the time, and lack of motivation. I will tell you, Brandi is not working for us any longer. She went back to school. She’s working on a degree in nutrition. I guess where she’s going to end up later. Right. She’ll be back here. But it’s caused doctor Lewis and I to get a lot of exercise and moving all these products around and getting up on the shelves and stuff, and I thought, man, I’ve been sitting a lot. She actually was very active. That little problem. So now we’re energetic. He’s still having coffee. So he’s thinking about that. No, he is telling me when it’s time to talk. Well, you can talk about depression. How’s that? Well, I can do that. If you have an overgrowth of yeast and so you have brain fog brain focus almost always because of yeast put out some call foundation stops your absorption and famine, which you don’t get enough of anyway. And so I will get to that in just a second, but causes of fatigue is the, I think it’s called an acronym called dead tired depression, environment, anxiety, anemia, asthma, diabetes, thyroid, and tumors. Infections, rheumatologic, which means arthritis, endocarditis, heart inflammation, but we’ve seen the holy heck out of that last couple of years for some reason and drugs. This comes from journal of family practice recertification. So one of the best things you can do and oh my God, I do it. Is L carnitine in the form we’ve got. You get about a 100% of it rather than the best you could do before that was 65% of it. It does require other optimal amounts of nutrients. And that’s why I tell people take them multi. It’s a super, super good one in cost about half as much as it should be. But you need that. Carnitine is transported mostly to the cardiac and skeletal muscle. That’s wise copper. I’m interested. And 98% of the total body of carnitine is stored muscle and heart. It’s an essential nutrient.

00:20:02 – 00:25:00

It helps transportation of long chain fatty acids. That’s why Janice said eat good fats. But it goes to the mitochondria matrix mitochondria. Remember, we talked about that to some powerhouse that you have a Julian of men ever sell jillions over. Stated. There’s a lot of in each cell. And it’s the energy producer in each cell. There are certain things that can cause you to have carnitine deficiency, but for the most part, it plays a big, big, big central role in the metabolism and production of energy from fatty acids. So you have to have the good fatty acids. It actually gives you more energy than a cup of coffee. I’ve tried it both ways, just having coffee. And I do both. Well, yeah, if you do the coffee, then do the carnitine, it’s like, wow, what a kick. Again, I’m seriously feel about 30 years younger than I am. Right. I overdid the carnitine at first because that’s what I do. She was doing three a day. Oh, good God. I said you’re a 132 pounds. She said, Steven, I’m not that fat. Okay, I don’t know how much you weigh honey. I’m sure it’s a 120, but I don’t know what she was, but that’s right. One 20. Oh, they’re about. Maybe one 19. Anyway, the carnitine also wanted you to talk about the other one that we have that’s kind of a new product for us. Yeah, but it’s been really popular. It’s called ageless cell revive. And I thought, it’s a powder. You can put it in your coffee. It does, not make your coffee taste bad, it tastes a little bit like a creamer. But it helps support healthy cellular structure function and cellular signaling. It was actually manufactured more for brain health, but then they found out it works with the mitochondria and helps you have energy all through the system. So it supports the mitochondria. It supports your immune system. Pay attention folks. Yeah, as people have been getting more sick. Supports G barrier health, think leaky gut, which leads to fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Well, it’s sunflower, less thin, but there’s all kinds of lesser than out there. And I personally think you can avoid the holy heck out of soy lesser than Gopher sunflower. And this is the good stuff, but it helps digest and process fats. So it helps with your focus. It helps with cognitive function. It helps with overall brain health. My mother already had dementia when she was younger than I am. And me and my brother, doctor James Lewis, who’s dean slash chiropractor. We threw supplements and my mother and she was a willing participant. So we put off dementia for about 25 years. She had it in her early 60s. And it didn’t really kick her butt till about 88 to 92. After 92, she was kind of out of there, but what is 25 years worth of better cognitive function worth? That means what she made more. Chocolate chip cookies and cherry pie. And things like that. And now we’re working on my 80 5 year old dad. So he’s still going, just got him a new heart valve from a cow. He’s a pro mistake now, but his mind is good because I keep giving him all these things. He said, I know if it had not been for your supplements that I would not be where I am now. He said, I have no doubt about it. And he is so religious. He was not as religious for a long time and whenever his heart valve started going bad, he realized he was in deep trouble. And then it’s two surgeons came in and said, we do not understand what happened. This was the smoothest easiest, quickest surgery we’ve ever done, especially being 85. So what we’re telling you to do and more and more people are stocking up now is a really, really smart time to stock up in this ageless cell revived. The phospholipids actually, they’re recognized like a T cell. Now T cells are killer cell, which can kill yeast fungus virus. And pathogenic bacteria. So it’s very, very important because it triggers that innate immune defense. And I wanted to mention another thing of being sick and tired. Could be anemia. We’ve had a couple of people that have said, oh no, I had my lab work run, and my red blood cell counts just fine. My hemoglobin hematocrit is just fine. I said, did they run a ferritin? And they were like, I don’t know what that is. I said, right. It’s stored iron. Because the iron they run that you think is fine, is that in your bloodstream, but it’s not what stored. Looking at hemoglobin and hematocrit is not a bad thing, but that’s like looking at a junkyard full of cars or a brand new parking lot full of cars.

00:25:00 – 00:29:33

You don’t know which one you’re really looking at. It’s not specific or space, civic. Right. And so that’s why I’m telling you the lab work is imperative. That is on our comprehensive panel. If you have never run a lab at our office, it’s super simple. All you do because people go, I need an appointment. You don’t really need an appointment. All you need to do is go to our website because I have this totally automated now. Green wisdom health dot com. Fill out the health survey cross off everything going on with you and all the medications you’re on. And it will tell you which panel is the correct panel for you whenever you do it when you’re done. It hits submit. It picks a lab panel. If you want a lab panel that’s got more in it than that, that’s all fine, but that’s going to be the minimum panel it recommends for you. And like I said, put in the code Fall Savings through October 17th. So you can get 20% off of that. And then you can have a thing on the comprehensive is 12 different lab panels. So most people come in here from their doctor, they bring us one to three panels and ask us what’s wrong and we’re like, I don’t know. You don’t have enough lab. Do you want us to just guess? Because I don’t seem to be working well. Which is why we don’t do that. So. But if you throw it in, God gave your body an innate intelligence. It will take the supplements or nutrients and work with them. And there’s so many toxins that we’ve talked about and I’ve talked about that a lot. One of the most popular relatively new supplements we have is called enviro detox. It has the zealot clay activated charcoal, which is from which is the bar golly most absorbable there is, which is full of acid and humic acid. And there’s even research talking about cleaning agents, trigger flu like symptoms and fatigue, and this is just very, very brief. Some of the things that can help with chronic fatigue syndrome and just fatigue in general is B vitamins from journal and neurology talks about it. Minerals, strip to fan, which 5 HTP works wonders for me. Amino acids, CoQ10, essential fatty acids. We talked about the good fats. Malic acid with magnesium. Oh my God, if you’re not on magnesium, you need to be in corella detoxification is good. An acetylcysteine, lipoic acid. We sell a lot of an acetylcysteine in L glutathione or reduce glutathione. Lipoic acid is in the berberine alpha a, so it goes on and on and on. And then there’s even, oh my God, the CDC and I don’t trust them either. But they have endorsement manipulation of the intestinal flora to treat diseases, journal of modern medicine. So robotics. So we are glad you listened to this show. Like doctor Lewis said, we’d appreciate feedback to tell us if you’re enjoying, if you still are enjoying the podcast. Should we do them? Actually, we’d like to know if you’d like to see him on a webinar as well, because he’s super excited about that. And then he keeps telling you guys to go read these books. So he’s just decided to ride his own. So keep a lookout on those. They should be out in probably a month or so. And I’m sorry our show has come to an end, but it has, so doctor Lewis, could you leave us with just a few words, please, as we end this show. Just be words that’s tough. In your health, don’t be careful be bold. The atmosphere you’re in always will create the health you have or the health you want. You have to take action. Living big requires taking action as we get older and older and older, you know, I want to take more action. So God bless you. And we’ll see you later. All right, you guys have a great week. We’ll be here next time on the green wisdom health show. Once again, our show has come to an end, but you’re hoping your health is only beginning. If you or a loved one are in need of a different outcome and are waiting for a brighter future, take the first step and go to our website and fill out the health survey. Please don’t keep us a secret. If you know someone that could benefit from this podcast, please share the show with your friends and family. You are only one step away from a life worth living.

Symptoms of Heavy Metal Toxicity

Microphone and Computer; this broke my heart.
Play

The symptoms of heavy metal toxicity can manifest in many different ways including diarrhea, nausea, chills, etc. Because of the many different symptoms that often mimic other conditions, it can be difficult to determine if you have heavy metal toxicity. Fortunately, there are some steps you can take now that can help support your body’s detoxification pathways in filtering out metals and other toxins.

Show Notes:

00:00:01 – 00:05:03

Welcome to the green wisdom health podcast, with Doctor Stephen and Janet Lewis, where you will learn about natural solutions to common ailments. And now, here are your hosts doctor Stephen and Janet Lewis. Hello and welcome to the green wisdom health show. I’m Janet Lewis. And I’m doctor Lewis. And today we are going to discuss heavy metal toxicity. The name of this show is called symptoms of heavy metal toxicity. Doctor Lewis, can you tell us why you felt the need to discuss heavy metals? He’s thinking about why he’s discussing heavy metals. It goes back to the 70s in the music, but no, not really. Well, you know, I’ve talked about being toxic off and on for many, many years, even before we got into this. And I noticed that as I tried to fix people’s joint pain, nerve pain, musculoskeletal pain, that if I would put people on something that could displace toxins, heavy metals and others, that their pain would get much, much better. Much more quickly, they could achieve or we could achieve the goals with fewer adjustments and less time. So I think we should always be taking up new trends to help our bodies detox, not just metals, but other things. And the side effect of being cleaner is deep sleep. You know, most of us don’t get the deep restorative sleep, which not having good sleep actually helps induce leaky gut, which we’ve talked about. And that can lead to insulin resistance. So when we talk insulin resistance, we’re talking about pre diabetic or diabetic. And it can lack of the sleep can lead to actually autoimmune disorders. We’re seeing more and more autoimmune disorders and people say, well, what’s chiropractor doing? Talking about, oh, no immune disorders. Well, guess what? That has a lot to do with osteoarthritis, which I’ve already gotten most of that podcast written for the future about how osteoarthritis can be helped with nutrients as well as the chiropractic adjustments. But to get deep restorative sleep puts you in a better position to detox and heavy metal is a big part of that. You know, I think a lot of people out there don’t really realize they’re even exposed to heavy metals and they’re probably thinking, well, I’m not around any of that. So, I’m not really sure how it pertains to me, but there’s good metals like zinc and copper and iron that are beneficial for your health, but there’s also some very toxic ones like cadmium, arsenic, chromium, lead mercury, you know, and people are like. Yeah, and where do you get those bad ones from? Is everyone exposed to one or more of those? Absolutely. And people say, I’m not exposed to that. It’s like, yeah, you are, you just don’t know it. I mean, if you walked into a newly sprayed build and has had pesticides in it, or even new building materials or the outgassing of carpets and those are not necessarily metals, but they can be seen in styrene and Styrofoam cups. There’re so many toxins in the world. If you’re not exposed to it, one of the polar bears have thyroid problems in osteoporosis. We don’t spray anything up there. And we’ll probably go over a list today. And I’ve always said, please don’t try to diagnose yourself at all, but if you don’t diagnose yourself off this list because of these lists, we may say, well, this is hypothyroidism. Well, it could also be leaky good. It can be chronic fatigue, syndrome. And you know, I had a kid one-time, young man who was not very developed, and you could tell he had some problems. And he brought me a book and says, here, what do you think about it? And it was only focused on mercury. Well, mercury is a bad thing. And if you’re drinking or eating anything with high fructose corn syrup, you are getting mercury. It’s that bad. High fructose corn syrup. And it’s not just people say, but I don’t drink soft drinks. Well, it’s in your ketchup and barbecue sauce. Check the ingredients. But it’s got too much mercury in it. So, I told this guy a young man. I said, yeah, taken out the mercury is a good thing. And I read the book. It was a pretty good book, but I said, the problem is there’s so many chemicals in our environment. And there’s about 5 new ones each day that join the 80 to 85,000 in that includes anti-inflammatory drugs and antibiotics and that can have a very negative effect on the health of your intestinal flora.

00:05:04 – 00:10:20

So when we talk about detox, I try to skim over it because Janet says sometimes I get too technical. They’re smarter people than me, but I’m really good practitioner. So we talk about liver methylation sulfation, acetylation, there’s a lot of different liver detox pathways. We don’t talk about the P450 cytochrome pathway very much, but you have to have extra nutrients in order to allow your body to kick that in gear because you do not get enough nutrients inside of your food. It’s impossible. You can not do it. So 80 to 85,000 different toxins in our environment in many of those are metals. Well, and then to make it in little simpler form for some of us that don’t understand all the scientific words like myself, there are some common symptoms that you could experience if your body is high and toxic metals. One of them is headaches. Abdominal pain, especially the headaches in the morning. Oh, really? Why the morning? Because that’s when the body is geared to dump. Especially in bladder. And most of us are behind. That’s why Janice is famous for her. Well, if you’ve got three trains going into a tunnel, have any trains should come out. That means if you’re eating three meals, you need to have two or three baobabs per day. That makes sense because that’s 5 to 7 in the morning. Chinese body clock. Yeah, that’s the meridian. And the thing about it is it’s complicated and I’m not being glib when I tell people we’ve made an intelligent educated decision about what you should take when you should take it. But then you need to throw it in and let God sort it out because one of the things that’s killing us faster than anything is the stress over trying to do it perfectly or the stress over trying to do it halfway. So will make a good decision and I tell my patients use your discerning spirit or your intuition. And then follow up and never lose your faith. Some more symptoms of toxic toxicity in your body from heavy metals is nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, chills, and a general feeling of weakness. One of the complaints that I’ve heard just a few times, well, I got on your supplements, and I had diarrhea, or I had a loose stools, and I said, well, you know, we can slow it down, but can you realize that that’s your body trying it has the nutritional aspect to increase detoxification that your body tried to detox? Now, we can slow it down and make it comfortable. That’s very important. But for God’s sight, don’t quit. That’s a good thing. People say, but I’m not comfortable taking this this, this. I said, well, you know, throwing up makes me sick. I mean, I’m ugly. UGLY I’m ugly when I throw up. But I know that’s a good thing because my body’s getting rid of toxins. Yeah, that is something that a lot of our clients say is like, well, this made me uncomfortable. I’m having a little more diarrhea it smells bad. I’m not used to going to the bathroom this much. It is very common that our supplements will start dragging out toxic things. You have to think about if it’s not coming out and it’s just sitting there and then you don’t do anything with it for years. What does what does that lead to down the road? We had a lady I don’t know if his early this week late last week. My urine stinks to high heaven. And she was kind of embarrassing that. And slime well, that’s a good thing. Here’s the thing. People signed by my son. I heard this. My son has acne. I said, well, he’s not pooping enough. Well, he poops once or twice a week. I said, well, the primary channels of elimination is the colon and through the bladder, urinary tract and Cullen. And if you’re not getting an out fast enough, it’s going to try to come out through the skin. That’s a secondary path of elimination. It’s true. And more severe and chronic cases of heavy metal poisoning include burning and tingling sensations, brain fog, insomnia, paralysis, and chronic infections, and that seems to be we’re hearing more and more people telling us they’re having the burning and tingling sensation and a lot of brain fog. So possibly it’s heavy metal issues that need to have need to be dealt with. So I guess if you have this in your body, is there a way to pull these things out? Do you have certain supplements that pull those type things out? Doctor Lewis? We talked the other day when I think it was Casey that was here that there are definitely some things that you can take.

00:10:21 – 00:15:04

The environmental detox is very, very popular with our people. It’s got the Z a lot clay, the activated charcoal, shallow sheet, which is fully fulvic acid in humic acid. It’s a really incredible product. That works really, really well. And I tell people, then you need to go through the Malta minerals, but you want to do it at a different time because you want to make sure that the activated charcoal and zealots not getting the good minerals. I’m a big fan of our active mega multi and it’s got some good minerals in it. But just as a matter of real estate, so to speak, the amount of room that it takes, it’s good to take not just the multi vitamin, but the multi minerals also ours has calcium magnesium zinc, selenium, manganese, chromium, potassium, sulfate, which is great for blood sugar and insulin resistance. And in boron, folks, if you don’t get it up on, you can’t have strong bones, especially if you’re a woman. Man, if you don’t have enough boron, which is almost impossible to get out of your diet, you can’t build testosterone. They perked up when they heard testosterone. So the minerals are a really, really good thing. It’s a smart thing, but it helps to bind with these heavy metals. And I said manganese. Well, manganese, it depends on the form. You know, I’ve talked about research where a welders that were exposed to the fumes had higher levels of manganese and in higher neurodegenerative effects. Abnormal effects on the nervous system. But it’s the wrong form of manganese. So you have to be careful. And I’ve talked about this over and over again. I’m going to keep doing it when it says tracks, TRA, CS, which are in every time that it’s possible that stands for the real amino acid chelate system. And you get up to 20 times more absorbable. One of my favorite ones is our reduced glutathione. And doctor Lewis can tell you exactly why it works, but I know that it helps immune system also by detoxifying and gives energy. So that one is really good. It’s quick. I know that if you do too much of it and you don’t do something about it, it can build up and not come out well. I mean, I know that. It’s like you can overdo glutathione as well, right? Well, you have to make sure you’re drinking a lot of water. The water is the universal solvent. They taught me that in chemistry a million years ago. Alcohol is a solution, but waters the universal solvent so don’t think vodka is the other clear drink. It’s water, water, water, and it needs to be filtered. Reverse osmosis is my preference. But so you have to make sure that when you’re giving your body the nutrition for it to crank up the mitochondria or the energy producers, so that it binds these toxins or conjugates them that happens in the liver, that’s why I always pay attention to liver for those of you that are patients. You’ve got to make sure that it’s going through. So if you have thick bile, then I will recommend terrain because that thins the bowel and if you thin it, then it goes through your fatty liver, which many of us have. Because of decades of too much high fructose corn syrup and mercury. When it ends the body goes through the liver through the gallbladder and squishes out into the small intestine. More readily, so it detoxes a lot faster, but you have to have a massive amount of good probiotics in the small intestine because the probiotics actually affect. In a good way. When the microbiome of the small intestine and that has to do with conjugating and keeping these conjugated harmful products from unconjugated and becoming toxic and be in reabsorbed, so that’s why good bowel movements and fiber is super, super important because this glutathione, some people call it the master, antioxidant. I think we’ll get in trouble for this, but I think sometimes Janet has a tendency too.

00:15:05 – 00:20:01

Oh yeah, she’s looking at me. Waiting to see what I’ve done now. Wait to see what kind of trouble I’m creating for myself. But I think sometimes she overdoses on things she gets really excited. She was taken, I said, you know, you’re 5, 430 pounds. And she says, Steven, I’m not that fat. Okay, well, I think three glutathione might be a bit much, honey. Please, I’m sorry for whatever I did. But glutathione is incredible for detoxification. And as you detoxify, you increase your immune system health. Immune activation and as you do that, you’re less prone to have the autoimmune diseases that we see develop more and more and more. That really does help brain fog though. I can tell you that the reduced glutathione really helps quickly to reduce the brain fog. Yeah, and to tie this together because many of you that are listening are already patients. I tell people, well, if you have brain fog, it’s usually because you have too much candy. They create something called foundation, steel, or have you had the inability to utilize thymine that you don’t get enough of anyway. So that goes back to if you have all these things going on and bad metals are famous for adversely affecting the microbiome. And that’s why I candida can go into overgrowth and that’s why you have to promote the use of and the growth of good probiotics and you have to be consistent with it because even glyphosate that people say on glyphosate is not bad for you. We got most Vietnam veterans or dead because of H and orange, look up glyphosate and H and orange and compare the two. It changes the glyphosate in our foods. Changes the microbiome, which lets the candida go ballistic, which steals your thumb in, which causes brain fog and brain fog can be just from, oh my God, I got too much aluminum. You get aluminum because we’re consuming it out of our canned goods. These fast foods hang on. I have a sneeze. I thought he was going to whisper two weeks. Most of these pre package that I’m trying to sneeze. That’s another avenue of detoxification. But most of our foods that we buy better prepackaged are cooked in huge aluminum vats. Think about that for a minute. Mercury, I had two different dentists that would get the amalgam mercury fillings, mercury amalgam fillings, out of teeth, and both on us bat crazy. But I felt better. Now, what’s that all in my head or was it because I got more mercury out of my system. Now, one of them just took it out, drilled it out, and of course you’re inhaling those vapors and I got 6, 6, 6, and my liver enzymes went crazy high. The other dentist was much more meticulous. She loves that word, and she’s an incredible person, perfectionist, meticulous dentist. She used the rubber dam and got the rest of my amalgam fillings out. And I didn’t get sick at all. So I got the mercury out. Now, whether it’s in my head or real, I don’t know, but I felt better. And my headaches went way, way down in frequency, Janet mentioned, headaches, and my blood pressure went way down. Well, and you get a lot of the mercury two out of the different kinds of fish that you eat. I know like the larger fish like swordfish, king mackerel, tuna, Marlin, are all bigger carriers of mercury. Because I have more time to bow accumulate as they’re eating the little fish, and it just accumulates in the body. And I kind of like tuna, but we make sure we buy the young. Smaller tuna. The young tuna? Yeah. We do. I don’t know. I never looked at, I guess, I always let you pick that out. So I guess we’re buying baby tuna. I don’t know. Maybe tuna. I know on salmon that little fat. That Brown thing at the bottom, I used to think you were supposed to eat that. And the first time I was even, I first started dating, he goes, what do you eat in that? And I said, it was part of the same and he goes, that’s where all the metals are stored all the toxins. And I was like, oh my God. Now I can’t stand it. It’s that little colored brown strip. And I don’t know why these chefs don’t scoop it out with a spoon, but I cut it out. You’re going to help yourself.

00:20:01 – 00:25:06

If you just do that much and you know I like research polluted air causes high blood pressure and in the polluted air are many, many of these heavy metals. And even the American journal of public health says that polluted air racist blood pressure, there’s actually a lot of studies done on even low doses of heavy metals and how they disrupt the structure and the function of platelets. And platelets are about clotting. It helps plaque occur much more likely. And that’s not a good thing. That’s from journal of environmental pathology, toxicology and oncology. So even low doses and we get the mercury, we get from high fructose corn syrup from big fish, we get a lot of aluminum from processed foods. And arsenic is actually in high levels of it are in rice. You know, it really is. And I do more rice now because I found out how horrible gluten treats me, but I still try to reduce it somewhat. Arsenic is bioaccumulated in the Ross fields. And then your cosmetics and body care products are, they have numerous heavy metals like lead, cadmium, and aluminum, you know, you always hear about that in the deodorants. That you’re putting aluminum right in a soft tissue of your arm. And he’s going right into your body. So we always try to use something different. We use pretty pretty Frank deodorant. We get it our local natural health food store here. You just need to try to avoid as much of the chemical stuff that you’re putting on the outside of your body. It was soaps and all of that kind of stuff because that’s just toxins you’re trying to get rid of. And there’s some people that would tell you that the aluminum has a lot to do with breast cancer. I’m not going to say that’s true, but I’ve read things that had a pretty good case to that effect. Because it’ll be absorbed and not be pushed through the lymphatic system. And I see people cooking with aluminum pans still, and I’m thinking, are they still really around? Because I remember my grandmother used to have aluminum pans. Lord only knows what they got. Got from that. Yeah, the Teflon pans. That’s another one because they’re full of a bunch of chemicals also, and then you look at the pan later and there’s like pieces of the pan miss. And so you’ve not only got some of that. You also, you also ate it. And people are like, well, how’s she supposed to keep things from sticking to your pans without those? Oh, lord, you stainless steel. Or glass. Yeah, and then there’s also foods that can help you detoxify naturally like cilantro. We have a lot of cilantro in Texas. We like it. And it’s really good. And that’s because the Hispanic influence. And Janet mentioned cadmium. Well, we have cadmium batteries, welders, fabricated metal products, those people have about four times the increased incident of prostate cancer compared to the average gap. And that’s because of the cadmium, which also you get if you smoke. Who are these people? What people? People that fabricate metal products and welders. They smelled the inhaled all of that for all that time. Yeah, four times the incident. And that means that welders, people at fabricate, need to tighten more the heavy metals are then borrowed detox, the multi minerals, the glutathione, really is they say the master antioxidant. And folks, it’s prostate. Only one R people say prostrate is like no, no, no. That’s a whole different word. I’m sorry. You’re not supposed to correct people. And the bug exterminator people are full of them also. I know that. Yeah, and they have more but Tennessee toward neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s and different types of dementia. And a spraying the inside of our House with those things also. Yeah, which we pretty generally don’t happen except she saw roach this morning. It’s like holy gs, if we do have them spray with chemicals, we take the dog and go along trip and then we have some air cleaners and then we have a holistic, more natural, cleaning products that are made uses. So some of the things that happen because of these excess metals and again, we’re talking about 80 something thousand different toxins, which is not just metals, but that creates what you think is a disease of aging.

00:25:06 – 00:30:00

It’s not really a disease of aging. It’s a disease of accumulation. So I use things like cilantro, garlic, lemon water, drink green tea, all of those things are really good at detoxifying heavy metals and doctor Lisa, I also know we got several things happening here, but we’ve had some people ask about our new programs. We just we just got it put on our website. There are 30 day programs, I guess you can explain what you decided. Do you want the reason you added these in? We’ve got four of them. One for white loss. There’s one for energy. There’s one for hormones. And there’s one for thyroid. And can you explain why you decided that maybe people needed help and added these programs to our to our site? Yeah, because those of you that have used our services and thank God, literally, I have so many people that continually do this. You know, like Richard and Rebecca and California like Alan from Maine, I could go on and on talking about people that do that. But some people say, well, what should I eat? What should I not eat? It’s like, you know, I’m like read a book. A lot of them want to know if we have a dietician. I’m incredibly busy. And I’m glad because there are people that are getting well. So instead of telling you all to read a book, we have created an integrative nutrition concierge team. That’s the technical term. So you don’t have to read a book. That’s it for you. Yeah, yeah. These people that we’ve employed teamed up with, what it is, a functional medicine registered dietitian and a certified nutrition coach and we have ways that you can take pictures of your food and own this app. It saves you time, and it’s not really so much a diet, but it’s a way of eating that will have more than nutrients that will support, for example, weight loss or energy or hormone thyroid, whichever one you choose. We have a few supplements to go with that to get you going because there’s some people say, well, I don’t want to take 8 or ten or 12 different nutritional supplements like the smart ones, the ones that get the best results are the ones that do this program and take even more nutritional supplements. And that way well, it helps you shop for the right foods. It’s cost effective way to eat. Because a lot of the people when we do their labs, they’re trying to eat right. They’re trying to do the right things, and they honestly don’t know which things are not good for their particular issue. Or hormones, and these nutrient plans are based on you getting those particular issues under control. So it’s not really such a diet, but it’s nutrient dense eating. And it makes it easier, the meal plans, the recipes, they’re all quick, easy, and inexpensive. You get weekly calls with the coaches, you get in app messaging any time that you take pictures of your food, they help you figure out well, why did I not feel good that day or maybe you’ve got a big party or something coming up and you’re trying to do the right things, but you don’t know what it is you can eat there to help you and the people that are overseeing this. Right. Yeah, that’s why I would say that people had already doing our programs. There’s couples out there that do our programs together. If you’re having the same issues, you could literally get one program and both of you learn how to eat differently and have recipes and that kind of thing. You don’t do it forever. It’s 30 days. You learn how to change your habits. And then you can go forward with that and do the right kinds of food and things. And it’ll help you get better with the nutrition that we’re doing on this side. Even faster and with each of these programs we have some complementary products that come in the packages that are different for each of the programs. But you can go on green wisdom, health dot com, there’s a tab there that says 30-day programs you can read about it. They’re pretty outstanding. We’re pretty impressed with all the people we’ve employed, and it takes a lot to impress me. I promise you; we’ve had many, many, many people try to team with us, and I’m like, nah, isn’t going to happen. You’re getting a whole lot of value for what it cost.

00:30:00 – 00:33:43

Is that I guess that’s a good way to put it. That’s a better way than I was going to say. I was going to say I’m blown away with what they can add to your life and your health and your energy and your thyroid function, et cetera, et cetera. Yeah, and we literally have some patients that are due for lab work again. And we’re telling them, hey, we really think this 30-day program might behoove you to do that. Before you do lab, because you can see tendencies that the people don’t really know what to eat or what to purchase and we don’t want you to keep making the same wrong choices and then having to buy more products all the time, we’d like you to learn how to change that. So that’s what all this is about. And gosh, we’ve come to the end of our show, doctor Lewis. I can’t believe it. So along with not being toxic from heavy metals anymore and getting a new lease on life here with eating. Is there any final words that you’d like to leave for us this week? Well, you know, one thing I’d like to say is that we’re doing our best to get back to doing more podcast. We have people saying I wish you’d put out more podcasts and it’s like, yeah, it’s been a crazy two years and then my dad’s had some health issues, so we were trying to make sure we were there for that, but he’s all good now. Got him a new heart valve and ready to roll. So, we hopefully get back on schedule with some of that. And his sergeants at Baylor Scott and white. And I love the medical profession. I always have, but they said, you know, we don’t understand why this win as quickly and as smoothly. On an 85-year-old man, he’s 85 going on 60. But we know for a fact, it’s because genetic keeps him jacked up on some really good supplements all the time. Folks, yeah, two more things. Number one, I can see things coming months. Sometimes years before they happen, there is, and there’s been plenty of people that stocked up because of the supply chain issues and it turned out to be a really wide choice on your part. Here’s the other thing. We talked briefly about autoimmune diseases. Folks, it’s really, really time to get serious with your health. You need to make an investment in your health for reasons I won’t go into. Now is the time and the opportunity to get started and get a healthier immune system. It’s getting to the point where it may be too late, really quick. So, get started now so that you can make it through any challenges that may be thrown our way. And I want you to understand, even though it’s been a crazy stressful two years or two and a half years, our stress should not be embalmed, it should be cremated, so burn it and let it go. And I like that. We thank you for listening to this week’s show. If you’re new to our podcast, please go to green wisdom health dot com. You can click on the health survey and get started. If you have questions about what you need to do, let doctor list give you a call. We can help you through any of that. It will recommend you a lab panel and we try to make it as easy as possible for you. We will be here next time on the green wisdom health show. Once again, our show has come to an end, but your hope in your health is only beginning. If you or a loved one are in need of a different outcome and are waiting for a brighter future, take the first step and go to our website and fill out the health survey. Please don’t keep us a secret. If you know someone that could benefit from this podcast, please share the show with your friends and family. You are only one step away from a life worth living.
